Dallas is located in the Central Time Zone in North Central Texas, 35 miles east of Fort Worth, 245 miles north, northwest of Houston and 300 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. Dallas is centrally located and within a four-hour flight from most North America destination. KDFW is the fourth busiest airport in the world in terms of aircraft movements. In terms of passenger traffic, it is the eighth busiest airport in the world. It is the largest hub for America Airlines. The Airport opened at 1974, has 7 runways, 155 gates. It serves approximately 1900 flights daily. Due to the size of the airport the “taxi to ramp” command works a little bit slower in certain scenarios.
