PCE-5000 is a portable hardness tester or durometer that uses the ASTM A1038 ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) method to measure the hardness of metals and alloys to measure on a minimum material thickness of 2 mm / .08 in. The test instrument can be mounted on a test stand (as an option) for series measurement in manufacturing process checking.
